Infantry are prized for their versatility and overall effectiveness in firefights, objectives, and essentially all aspects of combat. They are generally the core unit on teams and many times the preferred playstyle when going solo in matchmaking due to their lack of dependence on support units. Not only can most infantry handle any situation thrown at them, but they can also often take control and dominate no matter what is happening around them. We have always advised learning this playstyle and evolving from it to find your true calling while learning a new game. Plus, it is great having a great fallback strategy if your specialized role falls apart or does not fit into your current team’s strategy.
Heavy Infantry players are slower, more conservative Infantry that excels in front-line support and can turn the tide in any team gunfight. Heavy Infantry users utilize supportive tactics to aid team members in gunfights but need to remain versatile enough to survive or preferably win during one-on-one matches. Gear setups are generally an all-around weapon system focused on medium to long-range with slightly reduced speed and slightly increased armor. Heavy Infantry are known for their ability to support their teammates and excel in team play but often must improvise in solo play.
Light Infantry are faster, more aggressive Infantry that excels in offense tactics and are capable of providing pressure on any opposing team. Light Infantry use aggressive tactics in gunfights, but need to be versatile enough to dig in and support a team fight during larger engagements. Gear setups are generally an all-around weapon system focused on close to medium range with slightly increased speed and slightly reduced armor. Light Infantry players are known for their ability to maneuver around the map to get an advantage and excel in both team and solo play.
Gunners are a specialized role focused on supporting a team with overwhelming firepower. Gunners use firepower to simply overwhelm the opposing team during gunfights and can often pin down entire teams. Gear setups are often focused on firepower and sustained engagements at medium to long-range and often focus on heavy armor to stay in the fight. Gunners are known for their stream of bullets going downrange and can normally be found asking for more ammo.
