[Resources] Palworld: How Do You Get and Use Dog Coins?

Recommended Posts

Introduction to Dog Coins in Palworld

As part of the Sakurajima Island update, released on June 27, 2024, by Pocketpair, new features were introduced in Palworld. These features include new Pals, materials, and a unique in-game currency called Dog Coins. This guide will help you understand how to get and use Dog Coins in the game.

About Dog Coins

Dog Coins are an in-game currency implemented by developers, but they are not a microtransaction currency. They are gold and green coins scattered across the Palpagos Islands. While their capture may be challenging, this article outlines various ways to obtain Dog Coins.

Gathering Dog Coins

The easiest method to obtain Dog Coins involves searching for Junk Piles scattered across the map. These randomly located scrap piles contain numerous items, including Dog Coins and Pal Fragments, which are useful for constructing Pal Spheres.

Acquiring Mimogs

A more challenging method involves capturing a new Pal known as Mimog. Mimogs, which can simulate the appearance of a regular chest, are found in various regions across the Palpagos Islands. However, their speed and cunning make them elusive and difficult to capture or kill.

Using Dog Coins with Medal Merchants

After accumulating a good amount of Dog Coins, players can exchange them for useful items with Medal Merchants. Introduced in the Sakurajima Update, these vendors operate in church ruins and spawn randomly in the world. One consistent spawn location is the Desolate Church.

Items Available for Purchase with Dog Coins

Medal Merchants only trade in Dog Coins, making your standard gold currency obsolete for this trade. Below, you'll find a list of all items you can purchase from the Medal Merchant using your Dog Coins:

  • Box of Mystery Accessories - 1000 Coins
  • Burden Elixir - 350 Coins
  • Cattiva Hat - 50 Coins
  • Cawgnito Hat - 50 Coins
  • Concentrated All-Purpose Pal Extract - 2000 Coins
