Recommended Posts

After being pushed to the elimination pool on round one by FaZe, the hometown team of Toronto Ultra quickly became the star of their own event with an impressive run through the elimination bracket. Ultra looked like they were on their way to becoming the hometown heroes, but they would come up against FaZe once more in the elimination finals and watch their dominating run come to a close.

The Winners Bracket was full of exciting matches as the tournament favorites in OpTic and FaZe would fall while Rokkr and NYSL who seemed dominant in the qualifiers would also fall early. The team leading this charge to the top? The Seattle Surge.

Seattle was likely not at the top on many fans list to win this event and the rookie filled team had yet to prove themselves coming into the event. However, after the CDL titans would fall to Seattle one after one, the Surge slowly moved into the Winners Finals after an impressive and dominating run. FaZe would end up facing Seattle for a rematch in the finals and Seattle would make it look easy with a 5 to 3 victory over FaZe. Rookies Sid and Pred would lead the veteran players Accuracy and Mack to a championship and certainly made their place in the CDL known.
