Marvel Rivals Introduces Winter Celebration Event

Marvel Rivals enthusiasts are set for an exciting holiday season with the launch of a special Winter Celebration event, providing the opportunity to engage in a limited-time game mode and earn exclusive cosmetic items.

Since its introduction in November, Marvel Rivals has been witnessing significant growth, establishing a formidable record within the first 72 hours of its release. This festive season event aims to escalate the enthusiasm with unique rewards to be won.

Join The Jeff’s Winter Splash Festival Starting Dec 20

Beginning December 20 at midnight UTC (December 19 for players in the United States), Marvel Rivals' competitors will be able to participate in the Jeff’s Winter Splash Festival, a 4v4 Arcade Mode event, and engage in a Gallery Card customization challenge. Completion of the specified tasks will reward players with temporary event-specific items.

Notable rewards include the Jeff the Land Shark Cuddly Fuzzlefin costume, a special nameplate, and exclusive Spray among other rewards. A teaser image for the event hints that holiday-themed costumes for favorite characters such as Groot and Rocket Raccoon might also be on offer.

Season One Countdown and Marvel Rivals Invitational Tournament

This event intends to keep players engaged throughout the holiday season, leading up to the much-anticipated introduction of Season One of Marvel Rivals in January. This will mark the commencement of the game's three-month-long drops of seasonal content. The specific start date for Season One, however, remains unannounced.

Adding to the excitement, the player line-up for the Marvel Rivals Invitational tournament featuring NRG, Luminosity Gaming, NTMR Esports, and U4RIA has been revealed. A total prize pool of $20,000 is available, with the tournament set to be live-streamed on the official Twitch channel.

Marvel Rivals Infinity Comic Series and Special Reward for Subscribers

In sync with the game's celebratory atmosphere, Marvel is debuting a Marvel Rivals Infinity Comic series on the Marvel Unlimited app, launching December 16. Subscribers to Marvel Unlimited will also be eligible to claim a special "Unlimited Appetite" Spray featuring Jeff the Land Shark—provided they subscribe before the December 25 cut-off date.

Current subscribers as well as those who make the December 25 deadline will be able to redeem their reward via a code provided within the Marvel Unlimited app beginning on January 3, 2025.
