Xbox Partner Preview 2024 Boasts Array of Announcements and Trailers from Industry Partners
The much-awaited Xbox Partner Preview made a triumphant return packed to the brim with world premieres, surprise releases, engrossing gameplay, and much more, courtesy of esteemed partners such as Remedy Entertainment, Sega, among others, and selection of electrifying indie developers. The event unveiled 15 brand new games designed for Xbox consoles, Windows PC, and/or Game Pass, MUCH to the elation of Xbox gamers worldwide.
Exciting Kickoff and Grand Finale by Remedy
The event hit the ground running as Remedy unveiled gameplay from Alan Wake 2’s second expansion, The Lake House, followed by FBC: Firebreak's gameplay reveal, a notable shift into multiplayer space spinning-off from Control. The spotlight also shone on Subnautica 2, confirmed for Early Access in 2025, offering optional cooperative gameplay. Two titles introduced as playable upon release were the innovative indie game Animal Well and the remarkable first-person shooter Blindfire.
A Sweep of Premieres and Reveals Swept Across The Show
Headlining the impressive list of curated reveals were riveting gameplay from Alan Wake 2: The Lake House Expansion, indie platform mystery fan-favorite Animal Well, and the inventive concept of a dark environment shooter, Blindfire, all promptly made available for play. Bloober Team showcased their newest endeavor, Cronos: The New Dawn, a third-person survival horror game. Plus, fans also got the chance to see the premiere of the third-person action game based on Hiro Mashima manga, Edens Zero, and action RPG Eternal Strands bound to arrive on Game Pass on day one. Moreover, fans received an exclusive look at FBC: Firebreak, a multiplayer centric change of pace from Remedy’s usual single-player titles. The Legend of Baboo revealed an enchanting journey of a young hero and his loyal canine companion, Baboo. Another thrilling reveal was Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, highlighting exhilarating naval combat and an early release date. The amalgamation of Soulslike combat and extraction-action mechanics surfaced in Mistfall Hunter, followed by the interesting hybrid of FPS and cartoon looks in Mouse: P.I. For Hire. The highly-praised horror game, Phasmophobia, was announced to hit Xbox debut later in the month. Fans also anticipated the early access of the sequel to the beloved underwater survival-crafting game Subnautica 2 in 2025. Making a swift transition from Ghost Bike, Wheel World showcased its serene bicycle-centric gameplay. Lastly, fans were treated to a new look at Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, an action-packed journey asserting its existence as a dark fantasy set in the late Ming Dynasty, scheduled for a 2025 release.
