Cyberpunk 2077 Invades Fortnite: December Collaboration Leaks

TL;DR: Fortnite fans can look forward to an exciting December with numerous new modes, enhancements, and the anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 collaboration. The update teases Winterfest festivities and yuletide tie-ins with Mariah Carey, Shaquille O'Neil, and Snoop Dogg. Leaks point to upcoming appearances by Hatsune Miku, Master Chief, and Cyberpunk-themed elements like the Quadra Turbo-R car, Johnny Silverhand's Guitar, and potentially V as a crossover skin. The Cyberpunk 2077 collaboration, set for December 23, will bring exclusive items and modes, marking another high-profile partnership for Fortnite.

Anticipating The Fortnite And Cyberpunk 2077 Collaboration

December marks an exciting point for Fortnite enthusiasts as the game launched Chapter 6, introduced multiple new modes, and implemented numerous gameplay enhancements. And that's not all; the most recent update teases more exhilarating adventures with the approaching Winterfest event. Parts of Battle Royale's map are blanketed in winter's chill, and data miners discovered upcoming yuletide collaborations with Mariah Carey, Shaquille O'Neil, and Snoop Dogg within the game files.

    Upcoming Collaborations and Leaked Details

Alongside the Christmas-themed updates, data leaks reveal information about several other impending collaborations. This includes the anticipated appearance of Hatsune Miku, the potential return of Master Chief to the item shop, and exciting details about the earlier leaked Cyberpunk 2077 tie-in.

Famed for its unforgettable debut, Cyberpunk 2077, despite its rocky launch, has made an impressive comeback through subsidiary creations like Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and Phantom Liberty DLC, alongside continuous enhancements by CD Projekt Red. Now, Fortnite has joined the escalating number of Cyberpunk collaborations, following partnerships with Balatro and Guilty Gear -Strive- earlier this year.

Allegedly first leaked by SamLeakss on X platform, Fortnite's intersect with Cyberpunk 2077 starts revealing its contours as new files in the recent update provide insights into the collaboration. Popular leaker HYPEX suggests, there will be four distinct Cyberpunk 2077 tabs in Fortnite's item shop offering compatibility with multiple gaming modes.

Items To Expect From The Cyberpunk 2077 Tie-in

Listed as the first leaked Cyberpunk 2077 cosmetic for Fortnite is the Quadra Turbo-R car body, which features unique decals and wheels. Once purchased, gamers can use this vehicle in Battle Royale, Rocket Racing, and even Rocket League modes. Additionally, the game will provide the opportunity to buy Johnny Silverhand's Guitar, hinting at Fortnite Festival also joining the Cyberpunk action.

Even as speculation continues about Johnny Silverhand receiving a skin in Fortnite, the leaker HYPEX's hints suggest V as the more likely candidate for crossover skin. Given that V is a customizable character in Cyberpunk 2077, it's speculated that Fortnite might integrate one of the two models used in Cyberpunk 2077's promotional material. Along with this, a new item, known as Arasaka mantis blades, will be added to the Fortnite game as an additional harvesting tool.

The Expected Release of The Collaboration

Post the conflicting response towards the Skibidi Toilet crossover, Fortnite players await the substantial Cyberpunk 2077 collaboration. The wait is not expected to last long as the collaboration is predicted to kick off on December 23. This date also coincides with the expected return of Master Chief to the item shop. Other noteworthy dates in the coming week include the arrival of Mariah Carey on December 20, the launch of a ninja Batman skin on December 21, and the reveal of Santa Shaq on December 22.
