Understanding The Basics
At the heart of The First Descendant game lies an intriguing concept called ETA Vouchers. These vouchers, introduced in Season 1, offer players a way to acquire unique items within the game. However, the functionality of ETA Vouchers and their spending process can be quite intricate, necessitating a need for detailed guidance.
Introduction to ETA Vouchers and ETA-0 Vendor
There exist two types of these coveted ETA Vouchers, which can be utilized with a special trader known as the ETA-0 vendor in Albion. Steeped in unpredictability, ETA-0 only graces the City Entrance Waypoint from Friday through Monday. Much akin to Destiny 2's Xur, he operates with varying currencies and changing store content. His limited inventory gets refreshed weekly, so do make a point to revisit frequently.
Understanding the difference between the two types of ETA vouchers will greatly enhance your gaming experience. Let's delve deeper into their unique characteristics.
Procuring Premium ETA Vouchers
Colored yellow, these "Premium" vouchers are earned by selling miscellaneous Blueprints. To do so, you simply transact directly with the elusive ETA-0 using the "Sell Blueprints" option. Converting unnecessary items into Premium Vouchers gives you a convenient means to declutter your inventory. However, be mindful of the cap on possession, which stands at 600 Premium Vouchers. When you hit that, it's time to do some shopping and free up space for more vouchers. Be cautious about the kind of blueprints you sell. Avoid selling high-value items such as Crystallization Catalysts or Energy Activators. Also, abstain from using the "Register Duplicate Items" function, as it can inadvertently include such rarities. To be on the safer side, hold onto a few of each kind of weapon's blueprint pieces. In this ever-evolving game world, any underperforming weapon could receive a considerable boost anytime. It’s typically best to maintain four duplicates of any weapon to max their stats.
Accessing Standard ETA Vouchers
Ironically, the more elusive "Standard" ETA Vouchers boast a rare status among the two types. Obtain these red vouchers by completing Infiltration Operations at the daunting 400% level. And the reward is worth the risk: bosses and mini-bosses offer up to four Standard ETA Vouchers each when defeated. These 400% Infiltrations pose a significant challenge compared to standard levels, bearing an amplified enemy count and strength. To gain an edge in these battles, we suggest investing in a module swap to boost your survivability. Ignore the minor DPS loss incurred with the use of defensive Modules - staying alive is your ultimate goal. To take on these daunting missions, certain descendants like Bunny, Gley, and Freyna are your best bet. Maximizing your character's level could also give a significant advantage. The game offers ample opportunities to farm for experience points for this purpose. At present, you can acquire an Energy Activator Blueprint for 14 Standard Vouchers, irrespective of its scant 6% drop rate from specific Amorphous Materials. Though ETA-0's inventory for these Vouchers remains limited, you can find some excellent items up for grabs.
