About Weapons in The First Descendant
Weapons play a pivotal role in a Descendant's build in The First Descendant, with some having profound interactions with certain abilities and debuffs. Our focus today is on an Ultimate-grade weapon named Fallen Hope; a majestic gold and grey assault rifle designed to wipe out numerous enemies in a single move. Crafting the Fallen Hope is no walk in the park, it needs specific components gathered by the player. This guide explains how to research, unlock, and craft Fallen Hope in TFD.
Fallen Hope Sampling & Unlocking
Fallen Hope, given its Ultimate Weapon status, requires players to research before unlocking. This research process will consume four hours of your time and cost you 100,000 Gold. Moreover, it requires four distinctive materials: Fallen Hope Polymer Syncytium, Fallen Hope Synthetic Fiber, Fallen Hope Nano Tube, and the Fallen Hope Blueprint.
Acquisition of Essential Components
The various compulsory components, along with the corresponding activities needed to acquire them, are listed below:
- Fallen Hope Polymer Syncytium: Acquired from White-night Gulch (Normal): Border Line of Truth
- Fallen Hope Synthetic Fiber: Acquired from White-night Gulch (Normal): Eye of Truth
- Fallen Hope Nano Tube: Acquired from White-night Gulch (Normal): Altar
- Fallen Hope Blueprint: Acquired from White-night Gulch (Normal): Lower Hatchery
Completing certain activities and missions in White-night Gulch earns you the materials required to craft Fallen Hope. Each material possesses a 20% drop chance, implying that you may likely have to run the missions several times before getting all the needed pieces. Once you've secured all components, head to Anais to conduct the Fallen Hope research. Afterward, the weapon becomes yours! Note: if you plan to upgrade it, you'll need to infuse it with another fallen hope copy, which would mean more grinding and research, especially for higher-level players.
Special Abilities of Fallen Hope
Fallen Hope is an assault rifle with a unique ability known as Perdition, granting additional weapon damage against Poisoned targets. Killing a Poisoned enemy with Fallen Hope triggers a chance of the enemy exploding and further spreading Poison to a group of enemies. This makes it a potent area of effect (AoE) add-clear weapon. Additionally, it couples effectively with any Toxic or Poison abilities. Characters such as Freyna can exploit Fallen Hope to its full potential, thanks to their respective skills.
