In The First Descendant, the Thunder Cage stands out as an early ultimate weapon. Acquiring the Thunder Cage is a lengthy process, however, we've simplified the process of acquiring this powerhouse in this guide.
Finding the Thunder Cage
The Thunder Cage is available through Research within the game. This process can be time-consuming, but if you follow the main story arc, you will unlock a Sub Quest specifically devoted to claiming this ultimate weapon. To facilitate this journey, go to your Quests menu and track the Thunder Cage Research Request. If you haven't yet unlocked this Sub Quest, continue with the main story until it becomes available. After you've tracked the Sub Quest, you need to follow all the marked information.
Research Materials for the Thunder Cage
Four Research Materials are necessary to unlock the Thunder Cage. Remember, these materials are scattered across different locations and can only be found when you complete specific missions. The materials and their locations are as follows:
- Thunder Cage Polymer Syncytium – Located in External Reactor, Sterile Land
- Thunder Cage Synthetic Fiber – Found in Kuiper Mine, Sterile Land
- Thunder Cage Nano Tube – Found in High-powered Jammer, Sterile Land
- Thunder Cage Blueprint – Located in Sterile Land, Logistics Facility
You also need to have 100,000 Gold.
Starting the Research
Once you've gathered all the necessary materials, head back to Anais in Albion to kickstart your Research. Be patient - the Research takes around four hours to complete. Don't worry, the timer continues to count down even when you're offline.
Claiming the Thunder Cage
When your four hours are up, return to Anais. Click where it says 'Research Complete' on the Thunder Cage and claim your reward. Voila! You've now got the Thunder Cage ultimate weapon in your arsenal! Enjoy your newfound power in The First Descendant.
