Understanding Energy Links in Once Human
Energy Links serve as the in-game currency in Once Human, a handy resource you can use for transactions with vendors and other players. While the game doesn't explicitly detail how to acquire them, here we provide several techniques for quickly collecting Energy Links.
Completing Journey Tasks
One primary method of gaining Energy Links is through the completion of Journey tasks. These tasks encompass simple objectives like crafting and storing items, and building structures. While the Energy Links you receive per task might not seem substantial, they accumulate nicely as you finish several tasks. Even simple tasks such as crafting a weapon can earn you these valuable Links.
Become a Vendor
A speedy way to collect a considerable amount of Energy links is by selling crafted items to vendors. For beginners, crafting and selling Crude Pickaxes is a good strategy since they only require five Logs and 10 Gravel for creation. Each Crude Pickaxe sells for 15 Energy Links. If you have enough resources to create them in bulk, consider making and selling Copper Pickaxes which can earn you 50 Energy Links each. Gathering resources for the Copper Pickaxe can quickly generate thousands of Energy Links. Also, as you level up and unlock higher-tier tools such as Bronze and Steel through the Memetics tree, you can accrue Energy Links even faster by selling these items. Other items like salt, iced tea, canned meat, and corn ale are also excellent for bartering.
Clearing Securement Silos
The most efficient way to amass a wealth of Energy Links at once is by clearing Securement Silos. These become accessible after you complete the Deadsville storyline and arrive at Meyer's Market. From Myer's Market, head towards the nearest Silo near the Abandoned Hideout. Look for the Silo icon on the map, which leads you to the Sigma Securement Silo. While the suggested player level is 15, it's possible to clear the Silo at lower levels - but ensure you're well-stocked on ammunition. Successfully clearing the Sigma Securement Silo rewards you with 700 Energy Links, a random Armor Mod, and Stardust Source. This method surpasses selling tools to vendors in terms of speed, reward, and experience but does require an investment in ammunition.
