EA Teases Some Battlefield 6 Details

During today's earnings call, EA briefly released some minor Battlefield 6 information to its investors. Sadly, we did not learn very much about the details of the game but EA did confirm that they are still planning to do a proper announcement of the game this spring and is still planning for a full release of the game this holiday season.

EA also made no mention on what platforms the game will be available for so we do not know if it will be available for PlayStation 4 or the original Xbox One S/X. There was a strong push towards massive battles which could simply be marketing for the investors or it could be a sign that they will be focusing on larger game modes which did have success in the more recent Battlefield games and I personally quite enjoyed them as a break from the standard small team format every other shooter utilizes.

At the end, EA closed up the announcement with a statement that seemed very promising for the franchise and stated that the series was going to “return to full-out military warfare”. As of right now we will just have to wait and see in the spring for more details Battlefield 6 and how EA plans to drop the game in a very FPS heavy 2021 holiday season.
