Does Anyone Collect Video Games?
I did have a really big (about 300+) collection of physical Xbox 360 games, and I sold the lot to buy an engagement ring.. Although honestly it was done to make more of a statement than anything. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the marriage didn't end up lasting. Now I have some 900+ digital games across PS3/PS4/PS5.. They take up much less physical space ๐คญ -

Allowing kids to play 18+ games
I played the likes of Mortal Kombat II when I was about 10 or 11, and the original Grand Theft Auto at about 13 or so.. It didn't do me any harm. I think some of the media coverage linking violent crimes to videogames are using them as a bit of a scapegoat. -

How do you handle losing?
My partner would say that I'm a sore loser. I would call it being competitive.. ๐ Yeah, I'll admit that I could learn to lose better. -

The Future of Our Empire: Strategic Downsizing to Focus on Community
In an important strategic move, Uncrowned Empire is announcing significant changes across its suite of sites, including Uncrowned Addiction, Uncrowned Gaming, and Uncrowned Armory, to better align with the company's future vision and operational capabilities. A Shift to Focus on Community Support Effective immediately, Uncrowned Empire will be streamlining operations across all sites, transitioning them primarily into forums designed to foster and support our vibrant communities. This change is aimed at enhancing the core of our mission - to build and nurture a thriving group of interconnected communities. Rationale Behind the Change The decision for this strategic shift comes after careful consideration of the challenges facing the Empire. In recent times, escalating costs and operational complexities have not been matched with corresponding revenue or community growth. Despite the joy and satisfaction derived from our engaged users and friends, sustaining the expansive workload has become increasingly untenable. Moreover, the commitment to prioritizing personal family life and well-being has been a driving factor in this decision. The relentless cycle of creating guides and articles has taken its toll, leading us to this moment of refocusing on what truly matters. What Changes Are Being Implemented? Content Streamlining: The news and guide sections of our sites will be discontinued. Social Media Adjustments: While our social media presence will be maintained, the cessation of automated posts and the unpredictability of activity levels will be expected. Blog Phase-Out: In alignment with our streamlined focus, blog content will also be phased out. These measures, though significant, are essential for the sustainability and health of the Empire and its community. Looking Ahead: A Promise of Renewal This downsizing should not be seen as a retreat, but rather as a strategic realignment of our resources and energies towards fostering a stronger, more connected community. We remain optimistic about the future of Uncrowned Empire and are committed to its growth within this new framework. Revenue generated through forum ads will be closely monitored, with hopes that improvements in this area will allow us to once again consider expansion and enrichment of our offerings. A Heartfelt Thank You We extend our deepest gratitude to all who have been part of our journey thus far. Your support and engagement have been the lifeblood of Uncrowned Empire. As we embark on this new chapter, we invite you to join us in building a future that, while different, promises to be equally rewarding and community-focused. Stay tuned for updates, and we look forward to continuing this journey with you. About Uncrowned Empire Uncrowned Empire has been a beacon for online communities, offering a diverse range of content and platforms aimed at bringing people together. With sites like Uncrowned Addiction, Uncrowned Gaming, and Uncrowned Armory, it has provided spaces for discussion, discovery, and deep dives into various interests. As we transition to a more focused operational model, Uncrowned Empire remains dedicated to its mission of fostering robust and engaging communities. [Discussion] Ghostbusters Meets Destiny 2: Gear Up for a Supernatural Crossover
A Spooky Crossover Event Destiny 2 is setting the stage for an exciting crossover with the Ghostbusters universe, introducing themed cosmetics that will thrill fans of both franchises. As the gaming world anticipates the release of the "Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire" movie, players of Bungie's popular game will get the chance to immerse themselves in the ghost-hunting adventure. Starting March 19, three days before the film's debut, Destiny 2 will feature a Guardian ship modeled after the iconic Ecto-1 car, a Ghost shell resembling the beloved Slimer, and a Sparrow inspired by the film's main antagonist. Anticipating the Cost While Bungie has yet to disclose the exact price for these Ghostbusters-themed items, historical data from previous collaborations provides some insight. Players can expect the bundle to be priced between 2200 Silver (roughly $20) and 2800 Silver (approximately $30), depending on the contents and potential sales. This pricing strategy aligns with Bungie's approach to past packs, such as those inspired by "The Witcher" and other popular franchises. Unique Among Crossovers The Ghostbusters crossover distinguishes itself from previous Destiny 2 collaborations by drawing inspiration from a movie rather than another video game, setting it apart from the likes of Kratos from "God of War" or elements from "Assassinโs Creed" and "The Witcher." Notably, this collaboration will not include Ghostbuster armor sets, focusing instead on the two vehicles and the Ghost shell. This decision may leave some players longing for a full Proton Pack or Venkman jumpsuit experience, but it still promises to add a fun, thematic layer to the game's expansive universe. As Destiny 2 continues to explore pop culture crossovers, the addition of Ghostbusters-themed cosmetics enriches the game's world with a playful nod to the upcoming film, blending the excitement of ghost hunting with the thrill of interstellar adventure. [Discussion] Next-Level Combat: Unpacking The Finals' New Season of Cybernetic Enhancements
Elevating Gameplay with Hacker Abilities The Finals, a team-based online shooter known for its dynamic and destructible environments, is set to introduce Season 2, marking a significant evolution in gameplay. With the addition of new hacker abilities, players can now manipulate the battlefield in unprecedented ways, reminiscent of the iconic scenes from The Matrix. These abilities, ranging from removing walls to altering objects, are designed to complement all build types, with medium builds reaping the most rewards through tools like the Dematerializer and Data Reshaper. This innovative update promises to deepen the strategic layer of the game, offering players new ways to gain a tactical edge. Strategic Advancements and New Challenges Season 2 not only introduces the Hacker Playstyle but also enriches the game with a new five-on-five mode called Power Shift, a League System for better skill-based matchmaking, and a range of rewards for climbing the ranks. Power Shift challenges teams to escort a platform through the battlefield under the threat of enemy interference, adding a fresh strategic component to the competition. Additionally, the introduction of the new map, SYS$HORIZON, set in a glitch-filled, neon-tinted city, further enhances the game's meta aspects, providing players with a unique arena for testing their newly acquired hacking skills and strategies. Ready for Action: Weapons and Launch Details Each build type receives specialized weapons to complement their abilities, from the FAMAS burst assault rifle for medium builds to the 93R burst-fire machine pistol for light builds, and the KS-23 slug shotgun for heavy builds. These additions ensure that players have the firepower to match their strategic prowess. As anticipation builds, fans won't have to wait long to experience the upgrades firsthand. Season 2 of The Finals is scheduled to launch on March 14, available for free on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam or NVIDIA GeForce Now. With its innovative gameplay features and enhancements, Season 2 of The Finals is poised to redefine the competitive shooter genre, inviting players to experience the thrill and strategy of the deadly game show in a whole new dimension.
