Fortnite, one of the most popular video games in the world, has temporarily disabled the "hurdling" feature due to a glitch that has been causing issues for players. The hurdle movement mechanic, which allows players to jump over obstacles, was added at the beginning of the game's latest season. However, the feature has been causing players to be launched into the sky, making them easy targets for snipers and delaying their progress in the game.
Fans of the game are speculating that the reason for the glitch is due to a bug related to the distance traveled while using the hurdling feature. This is not the first issue that players have encountered in the latest season of Fortnite. Many players have reported crashes, long loading times, and problems with other features such as the Aerialist Augment and the Party Time Augment.
In addition to the hurdling issue, Fortnite has also recently disabled the Shockwave Hammer, which was a controversial weapon that gave players in-game advantages and timed immunity due to many glitches and bugs. The weapon has since been re-enabled.
While the hurdling feature is not a popular choice among players, it is still an important aspect of the game for many. Currently, there is no word from Epic, the game's developer, on when the feature will be re-enabled. The game's latest season has also introduced new features such as outposts, dirt bikes, augment, and the implementation of Unreal Engine 5.1, which have been received positively by players.
