Survive the Hordes: Hordepoint Multiplayer Mode Explained for MW3

What is Hordepoint?

The upcoming Season 2 update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will bring back the fan-favorite multiplayer mode called Hordepoint. Hordepoint is a limited-time variant of the Hardpoint mode that adds zombies as an extra threat that players must face alongside enemy players. 

In regular Hardpoint, teams fight to capture and control various objective areas on the map. Hordepoint keeps the same Hardpoint mechanics but also fills the map with hostile zombies that attack both teams.

Surviving the Zombie Hordes  

Fighting off zombie hordes in Hordepoint brings some unique mechanics not seen in standard multiplayer. Players have a small chance of acquiring special Pack-a-Punch weapons to help take down masses of zombies. 

Additionally, players can earn special Zombies power-ups like Max Ammo to replenish ammo and Instakill to one-hit kill zombies. However, players will need to earn 5 zombie kills to get 1 point towards their scorestreaks.

The Walking Dead Crossover Event

The return of Hordepoint coincides with Modern Warfare 3's upcoming crossover event with The Walking Dead. The mix of zombie-themed action and content from the popular show should make Hordepoint an especially exciting limited-time mode for fans.

With intense zombie fighting and Hardpoint action, Hordepoint offers a unique take on multiplayer. The mode's frantic gameplay and undead enemies should thrill Call of Duty players when it drops in Season 2.
