Valderas Museum, a multiplayer map from the popular game Call of Duty, may be making a comeback in the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. This information comes from CharlieIntel, a reliable source in the Call of Duty community.
Valderas Museum was originally available during the game's multiplayer open beta but was later removed for unknown reasons. The map is based on the Getty Center located in Los Angeles, California and is known for its unique pavilion design and architecture. The in-game version of Valderas Museum was enough to spark recognition from fans with a single leaked photo.
It should be noted that this is not the first time a map has been removed from Modern Warfare 2 for unknown reasons, then reintroduced again under another name. The Marina Bay Grand Prix, a core 6v6 map designed around a real racetrack in Southeast Asia, was removed entirely even prior to the multiplayer open beta release, and all mentions of it from official channels were taken down. The map was brought back after the game's launch under a new name, Crown Raceway.
Fans of the game have much to look forward to in the upcoming Season 2, as Activision recently released a loaded blog post containing all the important changes to be implemented into the game in the future. These changes include audio fixes for PC players, the return of 1vs1 Gulag, and a complete overhaul of the user interface. The full Season 2 announcement blog post will be officially released on February 8.
Fans have also speculated that the Castle map from Call of Duty Vanguard may be making a return, but this is still unconfirmed and so far we only have leaks suggesting the return of Museum for season 02.
