SCUF Adds Headset to Lineup

Recommended Posts

scuf.thumb.jpeg.ad18740cf5521c782139bc6db4cdbeb5.jpegSCUF, one of the more popular premium/custom controller makers, has released their new H1 headset and it too is quite customization. Utilizing a 3.5mm audio line, the new headset is compatible with all gaming consoles and most other devices that allow a wired audio setup.  It features interchangeable ear cup "tags" that allow users to match there custom SCUF controller and SCUF headset, or just choose a different design for each.

The headset has many standard features, like 50mm drivers and a built in mic be uni and omni-directional, along with an inline volume and mute control on the cable.  The headset appears to have a standard 3.5mm attachment on the headset side, meaning custom third party cables are very likely to work right out of the book.  Mic quality is a heavy focus on the product page and that makes me hopeful that we can get a gaming headset without a terrible mic but reviews are this are still needed.

Starting at $130 on release, the price is not bad at all when compared to other premium headsets and of course is only available in a wired setup.  However, the mic style appears to be the entire mic and not a switch, meaning you will need to select the uni or omni mic on checkout and that is what you will be able to use.
