Cash to buy video games?

As digital payments and online marketplaces continue to gain popularity, purchasing games has become more convenient for consumers through electronic payment methods. Platforms like Steam, PlayStation Store, Xbox Live, and Nintendo eShop have witnessed a surge in popularity due to their digital distribution services, leading to a growing number of individuals choosing digital downloads over physical copies of games.

Do you think purchasing video games with cash will soon be history?

As much as I would hate to see video game purchases with cash become history, I do feel we are heading in that direction. Digital has taken off quite well and most people not tend to find offers and sales for games they can purchase digitally as well. 

We may see some video game purchases still made with cash but I don't see that being as often as it used to be.

Do you mean physical video games will be a thing of the past? If so, definitely. Consoles are heading towards the digital direction and will eventually kill off the physical market, similar to how Netflix killed off Blockbuster.
