Gears of War 2 was my intro to the franchise so I think that's contributed to my preference to it. I loved the story line and even the music. Many hours were spent play hoard with my friends. Good times.

Gears 3 was may favorite part of the series.  just did not seem to be the same game after the originals

It's definitely going to be Gears of War 3 for me. It's the concluding part of the original trilogy which had an excellent narrative. The game really did ended on a very high note. It's multiplayer mode was perfect to the very least and would be considered the best 3rd person shooters of all time.

I only played through the first two titles, and out of those I preferred the first..

There's rumour that they may see a PlayStation release at some point - keeping my fingers crossed! I'd love to play them again.
