The situation with Ubisoft and The Crew

There's a fair bit of noise about this at the moment, and for good reason..

I'll not go into too much detail - the video(s) I'm going to link to do a much better job of it than I could.

 

In essence, The Crew is an online-only game, despite it having a single player segment to it. Ubisoft recently closed the official servers for the game at the end of March 2024 rendering it completely unplayable. As if this wasn't bad enough, it's since come to light that Ubisoft have revoked all digital licenses for the game, likely in an attempt to "prevent the community" from creating their own servers and reviving the game.
