Nebulous
In video games, What's more important: action or story?
Uncrowned Guard
For multiplayer focused games, I prefer action. For single player games I enjoy a good mix of just enough features with solid story telling, although I do actually enjoy single player games that offer a slower pace most of the time. ThunderFlash
Action all the way! Most new stories are just going to be terrible anyway.
Heatman
What's the good of a story without good action to back it up? If both action and story isn't balanced to a good extent in the game, it's not going to be so much fun for me to play it for long.
Katterly
I'm an action fan! My daughter had a bunch of games where a story was involved, and I felt it just wasted so much time loading the screens. Get to playing is my opinion, because THAT is why I buy the games anyway. 1
Shortie
When it comes to a multiplayer game, I am more for the action and also the fast-paced atmosphere as well but with a single-player or a story-based game I like to see a good story that keeps me hooked and interested. With something like Fortnite though, not only does the action and the fast-paced game play keep me hooked, but they have a storyline as well which works really well. I get you very well. If you wanted to watch a story, you would know the best movie to watch with a good story plot and not in your game. If there's ever going to be a story in a game, it should be simple and not a big load of stress and time wasting.
