Shortie
TikTok live streaming has a requirement that you must have 1000 followers on TikTok to be able to use their live feature. Many people tend to get this super easy by doing follow for follow but a lot of the live streams I see on the platform are of those who just sit there and beg or cause drama which is a shame. In some cases, I have seen people who play video games on TikTok live and I have seen people who also create good content such as singing and playing an instrument which are enjoyable to watch. What are your thoughts on TikTok live streams?
Uncrowned Guard
The platform itself does not come off as a streaming-friendly service to me. Not so much hitting on the user base, but more so that the entire service is designed for short-form video and quick reactions while streaming is basically the opposite of that. Granted, it can be a good starting point as it certainly has the ability to grow rapidly and promotes content very well within its own ecosystem.

I find that most tend to use TikTok for live streaming to bring people from TikTok to their live-streaming channels which is a good idea. Twitch is strict when it comes to multi-streaming to other platforms but they allow you to multi-stream to TikTok and Twitch at the same time and many use that to bring more eyes to their main streaming channels which works quite well. I do enjoy seeing the gaming streams on there and I have found some new people to watch on streaming platforms such as Twitch, YouTube, and even Kick, it's just those who use it to beg and just sit there doing nothing who give it more of a bad name I feel. Heatman
For the fact that TikTok basically features more of short videos and that's what most people look out for using the platform makes it difficult for it to thrive as a streaming platform for gamers. You can find a way to boost your popularity using TikTok but when you really want to get into game streaming, you have use the right channel for it. Excommunicado
I’ve seen many people live stream video games on TikTok. I don’t particularly have an opinion of it. It makes sense and a lot of people watch the streams I guess so it’s working.
