  1. Whenever I play a mobile game, I always play the free to play as I never know if the game I choose to play will be one I will stick with so paying for it would be a waste of money. The only time I would ever pay for any mobile games is if I knew I would play it enough to warrant the price.
  2. I always tend to have fun with video games but will be competitive if I need to. I feel if I were to play a lot of video games competitively I would soon burn out on the games and there would be no fun at all. For the most part though, I tend to play video games for fun.
  3. Hey @Excommunicado🙂 welcome to Uncrowned Gaming! It's great to see you here and I look forward to chatting with you around the forum about video games 🙂
  4. I did wonder when this was going to be available. I feel it is good that Epic are doing this and allowing those who are eligible to receive a refund, a shame it happened but at least they were honest enough to rectify the issue.
  5. Reading this, had me at handheld 😄 I have been a gamer who has longed to see a handheld console from Xbox and Microsoft and seeing that this is in the planning is amazing! 😄 Looking forward to hearing more news about this over the years and when development starts as well 🙂
  6. I can't say that I spent too much money on microtransactions on mobile as a lot of the games I play I don't tend to stick to playing after a certain time and putting money into them would be a waste. I believe the most I put into a game at one point was around £10 but I haven't put any more than that into a mobile game when it comes to transactions.
  7. I love to play games such as House Flipper, PowerWash Simulator, Two Point Hospital and Two Point Campus and I have often wondered just how well they would work on mobile if they were to be brought to mobile. We always see games similar to that on mobile such as Harvest Land where you build up your own farm with animals, vegetables, and wheat. The above games I mentioned are played, they would definitely work just as well on mobile I feel.
  8. So many have said this, I have even heard of people saying they played through the game more than once they enjoyed it so much. I still have yet to play it but I am very excited to even though I am quite late to the release party now 🙂
  9. I can't say that I am as big a fan as I used to be back when Vice City was released. GTA IV was a game I purchased on release and never really enjoyed it and GTA V was a game I bought on sale which only cost me £5 at the time. GTA VI might be a game I purchase when it is released but I have a feeling it will be for my eldest son rather than myself.
  10. I have a feeling and I will be shocked if it does not end up being the case but I just have this tiny feeling that Hogwarts Legacy may just snatch Game of the Year. I have still yet to play it myself but from those who have played it, they have had nothing bad to say about the game and it has all been good from what I have heard.
  11. This is the first time I have heard of sites that allow you to purchase games using cryptocurrency as I have not seen any myself as of yet. Would be interesting to hear of those that do so that those who wish to use cryptocurrency to make their game purchases can 🙂
  12. The last game I played was Fortnite with my daughter. Really enjoying this season so far and am excited for what's to come for Halloween as well being this is the Halloween season! Me and my daughter got out second crown win of the season yesterday! Hoping to get a few more before the season ends 🙂
  13. Microtransactions are fine I feel as long as you know what you are getting and it does not end up being a gamble in hopes you get the item you want. Fortnite is a good example of doing microtransactions right. You know exactly what you are getting when you make the purchase and none of the items you purchase such as skins, emotes, gliders or even pickaxes and back blings give you any competitive advantage in the game, they are just that, cosmetic items. Overwatch before they moved to Overwatch 2 and became a free game was a prime example of how microtransactions should not be when they had their loot boxes. Players of the game were purchasing loot boxes in hopes they would get something they wanted and when they didn't they would do it again until they did. That ended up being a gamble. They have since removed lootboxes from Overwatch 2 due to them being a gamble. I feel they could have been left in but made achievable in the game for playing but they removed them completely.
  14. As much as I would hate to see video game purchases with cash become history, I do feel we are heading in that direction. Digital has taken off quite well and most people not tend to find offers and sales for games they can purchase digitally as well. We may see some video game purchases still made with cash but I don't see that being as often as it used to be.
  15. 18+ games are something that I am very cautious about when it comes to allowing my children to play them. My two eldest are old enough now to make that decision themselves but my younger two I tend to not allow unless I have played the game myself and I am happy that they can play it without running into issues. For the most part, though, I tend to avoid 18+ games for my younger two.
  16. Hey Alex! Welcome to Uncrowned Gaming! It's great to see you here 🙂
  17. I am the same, I know about all the mods you can do on games on the PC but I have not a clue how to start. I do tend to look into it but a lot of the time it tends to go over my head. That is when I step away and come back to it later.
  18. Fortnite mobile was something I was eager to play. The first time I played it. How difficult it was to play on a small screen that was touch screen was not something I expected and playing the game felt a whole lot more difficult when playing on a phone. I still now see people playing Fortnite on mobile and I often wonder how people manage with the small screen on the game. How have you found playing Fortnite on mobile? Is it something you can do or is it something that you find too difficult?
  19. Call of Duty mobile is something I tried to play but using the touch screen to play was never easy and I found playing the game more difficult than it should have been. I do enjoy Call of Duty mobile and have played it on my PC using an application I had installed but playing it on the phone was never something I could get used to. Have you played Call of Duty mobile? What are your thoughts on it? Can you play it okay on mobile?
  20. With so many different mobile games available now under different genres, many of us will more than likely have a mobile game that we enjoy the most. Do you have a mobile game that you would say is your favourite? What game is it if you have one?
  21. Back earlier this year, I started playing a game on Harvest Land on my mobile and really started enjoying the game. I was offered a free trial for the subscription they had and I took the offer. I had instant regret after as due to what you get extra for being on the subscription plan, once I downgraded I had no space to store anything and the game became unplayable unless I kept paying for the subscription. Has anyone here played Harvest Land?
  22. If you are following the news for Modern Warfare 3 2023, you will know that we will be seeing a perk which is a self-revive kit coming to the game. So far I am unaware of how it is going to work but self-revive is definitely something that I believe many will be pleased to see coming to the game. What are your thoughts on self-revive kits on MW3?
  23. With the new release of Chapter 4 Season 4 in Fortnite and seeing a heist season again which is similar to Chapter 2 Season 2 when we were introduced to Midas as well, it has got many speculating that Midas may be making a return at some point this month. What are your thoughts? Do you think we will see Midas comeback this season?
  24. I booted up Rocket League not too long ago to play and found out that I have the premium pass due to me having the Fortnite Crew which is an awesome incentive! May play some in a little if I feel up to it before bed.
  25. I always remember as a kid I used a joystick to play games but I can not for the life of me remember what game it was I played. I always remember playing arcade games in the pub when I was a kid and my parents used to take us out for a family meal to a local pub near us and that used a joystick.
